 Java Installation Step-by-Step

Run the downloaded installer and accept the licence terms and advancing the installation steps to complete the process.

No need to do any additional settings as displayed in screenshots:

 By default:
JDK is installed in directory "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-10.0.{x}", where {x} denotes the upgrade number;
JRE is installed in "C:\Program Files\Java\jre-10.0.{x}". After Installation you can check for JAVA version by giving commond on cmd prompt: java version.

 

Setup Environment Variables in Java: Path and Classpath

 Setting Path & Classpath for JAVA Right Click on the My Computer and Select the properties Click on advanced system settings Click on Environment Variables Click on new Button of User variables Type PATH in the Variable name. Copy the path of bin folder which is installed in JDK folder.
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-10.0.{x}\bin
 Paste Path of bin folder in Variable value and click on OK Button. In case you already have a PATH variable created in your PC, edit the PATH variable and by placing ; at the end of existing value paste our path. Also set the CLASSPATH of your working directory. Click on new Button of User variables Type CLASSPATH in the Variable name. Paste the path of your working directory in Value
